Welcome to Southland Multicultural Council
Southland Multi-Nations was formed from the public meeting held in 1998. In 1999 it became an incorporated society, Southland Multi-Nations Council Inc. In 2010 the organisation had a name changed to Southland Multicultural Council Inc.
Southland Multicultural Council was registred by the Charities Commission - number CC27119.
Our aim is to make Southland a safe and welcoming place for newcomers and migrants, where we all can learn to enjoy, appreciate and celebrate our cultural diversity.
Board Members 2019-2020
Membership at Southland Multicultural Council Inc is open to anyone and only costs $15.00 per person annually. Subscription forms are available from our office, or you can download one here. Once completed, send it to our address or email us. If you need more information before joining Southland Multicultural Council, please give us a ring, send as an email or alternatively come by to the office for a chit chat.

SMCI Financial members are only eligble to be nominated and accept positions on our committee which is elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) held usually in May. Committee meetings are held monthly. If positions available, commitee can co-opt a person to fill the position or alternatively if you have skills and backgrounds kindly send your interest to office.
Events are organised by the Southland Multicultural Council throughout the year. Please check our events page or Facebook page for our upcoming activities and events. Financial members and families may be eligible for discounts on some of these events and activities.
